Magic: The Gathering

Magic: The Gathering in Port Charlotte

Magic has the deepest singles economy in the hobby and the most demanding players. We stock it accordingly — sealed on the shelf, singles priced to actually move, and a counter that can tell a Reserved List card from a reprint without looking it up.

What we stock

On the shelf

✦

Sealed product

Play boosters, collector boosters, bundles, and Commander precons from current sets, plus whatever older sealed we can source. Cases available on request.

✦

Singles

A deep, deliberately cheap loose-card inventory. Commander staples, lands, removal, and the format-defining cards people actually need — priced to get you playing rather than to squeeze the first deck out of you.

✦

Bulk

Long boxes of commons and uncommons, sold by the box and bought by the box. Genuinely welcome in both directions.

✦

Supplies

Sleeves, deck boxes, playmats, binders, and the double-sleeving kit for anyone running a deck worth more than their car payment.

Formats

What people play here

1

Commander (EDH)

The format most people actually play. Four-player pods, hundred-card singleton decks, and the reason our singles case is weighted the way it is.

2

Standard

The rotating competitive format. We stock current-set staples deep because they turn over fastest.

3

Modern

Non-rotating and expensive. We carry the pieces we can, and the buylist is where the good Modern cards tend to surface first.

4

Draft & Limited

Boosters always in stock so a pod can fire whenever four people want one.

Selling

The buylist for Magic

Magic is the line where the buylist matters most, because the secondary market is deep enough that fair pricing is checkable. Typically 80% on chase and graded cards and 75% on ordinary singles, quoted card by card against live market pricing. Store credit runs above those figures, cash below, and either can land outside them depending on the card.

Common questions

Things people ask at the counter

Do you buy bulk Magic commons?

Yes, by the box. Bring the long boxes — we would rather take the lot than have you sort it first, and people routinely bin something worth money.

Can you help me build a Commander deck on a budget?

That is most of what we do at the singles case. Tell us the commander and the number you want to stay under and we will build to it.

Do you carry Reserved List cards?

When we can get them. They surface through the buylist more often than through distribution, so it is worth asking rather than assuming.

What is the difference between a play booster and a collector booster?

Play boosters are built for drafting and general opening. Collector boosters skip the draftable filler and concentrate the premium treatments — higher price, higher ceiling, much worse odds per dollar if you just want playables.
